I touched this wall.
Over 750 years old,
it has seen the many passings of kings and queens,
and the passing of the Ages.

Though once it was the defense
of men and their families,
before, it was of the earth
and that is yet the heart of it.

Slowly, it returns to the breast of its mother,
as do we all.
I touched this wall
and I listened to the story of all time.
